Washing instructions

Our oak whiskey tumblers are designed for minimal cleaning. Like aging barrels, our white oak whiskey cups naturally interact with whiskey, maintaining a clean interior without the need for regular washing. After every use, a quick rinse with warm water is enough to keep your oak whiskey tumbler ready for the next pour.

For those rare occasions that require a deeper clean, a simple and natural solution of lemon juice, sea-salt, and warm water will effectively remove odors while maintain the wood’s integrity.

To protect the unique whiskey flavors absorbed by the wood, avoid using dishwashers or soap in your oak whiskey cup.

Care instructions

Our oak whiskey tumblers are sensitive to extreme temperatures and humidity. To preserve the integrity of your tumbler, we strongly advise:

• Storing the tumbler in a stable, room-temperature environment.
• Avoid exposure to direct sunlight, high temperatures, and high humidity.
• Not exposing the tumbler to drastic temperature variations.

If you would like to give the wood extra care, periodically apply a natural, food-safe butcher block conditioner or wood wax from your local hardware store.

Charring the inside of an oak barrel is a common tradition when aging whiskey because of how it affects the flavor and character.

When you char the wood, you burn the inside to create a layer of charcoal that is intended to add deeper caramel, toffee, nutty, and maple flavors due to the higher levels of carbon which filter and react with the whiskey. New charred barrels are required for the production bourbon, rye and other American whiskeys

When you don't char the wood, the whiskey will still be interacting with the wood but it will just have a lighter, more delicate flavor.
